Step 8 – Enter your Instagram password to verify your account and click on the request download button.

Step 9 – Now you will come across a page with the message “We’ve started creating a file of your information and will email a link once it’s ready. It may take up to 14 days to collect this information and send it to you.” You will receive a mail from Instagram with a link to download and recover deleted Instagram messages.

Step 10 – Login to your mail ID and open the mail received from Instagram. In the mail, itself look for the download information button and click on it.

Step 13 – Now Unzip the downloaded folder.

• Instagram may take up to 48 hours to process your request and send you the mail with the data download link.

• The link is activated for two weeks only. So if you missed this deadline then you have to request again by following the above steps.

• The download message folder contains only those messages which are stored and backup on Instagram’s server. You need to put in a recovery request within 24 hours after deleting the messages from Instagram.
