The Epson L120 resetter is used to reset the ink pad counter on the Epson L120 printer. Once this resetter is installed, you should be able to make use of your printer again. Epson officially doesn’t advise resetting the ink pad counter using this way. Although, I highly recommend it to keep your Epson printer maintained and in good shape. Follow The Steps below to run Epson L120 Resetter:

  1. Make sure your Epson l120 is connected.
  2. Download the Epson L120 resetter from the link above.
  3. Once the download is complete extract the zip file to get “L120.exe”(Do turn of your antivirus here as it may delete the resetter thinking of it as a virus)
  4. Once the program opens up, do select the type of printer and port you are using. If you are unsure here then click on “Auto selection” mode.
  5. Select the “Particular Adjustment Mode” button.
  6. Select “Waste ink pad counter” in the “maintenance” menu line.
  7. Click “Ok”. Further in the “Check & initialization” section, don’t forget to check the “Main pad counter” option. Now, click “Check” then click “Initialize”.
  8. Click “Finish” and Finally turn off the printer when the light flashes and a pop-up asks to turn off your Epson L120 printer.
  9. Perfect. Congratulations, now you have successfully reset Epson L120.

Note: The method above will work 100% when following the steps in the correct order.

  74. When I perform the check operation on initial setting I get the message “setting value is wrong”, although the printer is properly detected.
    I get the error “The main board cannot be used” when I try to erase the eeprom to initial setting. What should I do? L120

    You need to know how much your program meant to me tonight.
    I was busy doing a printing job for an NPO who is having a Mandela Day netball day, and tonight, at 9pm when my printer started printing lines, I ran a head clean, and then the ink pad failed.
    On a previous occasion i was advised to just replace the printer, since Waste Ink Tank Sponges are not available, and having the printer repaired costs the same as a new printer. I nearly cried, since this job needs to be done tomorrow (Sunday).
    Using your program enabled me to continue my print job. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
    If you have a similar program for other Epson printers, or for Canon Ink tank printers, please advise on this? I am constantly having to replace printers because of small issues like this, and would not mind paying for software that can eliminate the planned obsolescence written into perfectly good machines.
