Have you ever experienced OBS Studio displaying Black Screen/Blank Screen when you added “Display Capture” to the Sources section? If so, there are settings on the graphics card that are not correct. According to our experience this is also common for those with dual graphics cards. To solve this you usually simply select the right settings so that “Display Capture” will be able to display your PC screen again.
How to Resolve Display Capture on OBS Studio that fails to display screen? Here’s the solution.
1. First you must right-click on your Desktop PC and select “Display settings” menu.

2. Then you must select “Graphics Settings” after that an option will appear to add the application.

3. Locate the obs “.exe” file from your OBS Studio, and then add it. If you use 32 bits usually exist in “C:\Program Files (x86)“, if using 64 bits usually exists in “C:\Program Files“. Once added it will appear to select an option.

4. Select the “Options” menu to set your graphics card options. Here you can choose one of 2 options after the default option fails, this should be able to solve your problem. Once you’re done you’ll need to restart your OBS Studio by closing and reopening it.

That’s a tutorial on how to solve OBS Studio with Display Capture blank/black. For more details you can see the tutorial in following video.
