Step 1 – Launch the Instagram app on your device and navigate to your profile page.
Step 2 – Tap on the three-line menu icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3 – Scroll down and select “Close Friends” from the menu options.
Step 4 – Search for and select the Instagram users you want to add to your “Close Friends” list.

Posting a Story to Your Close Friends
Step 1 – Open the Instagram app
Step 2 – Navigate to the Story creation screen.
Step 3 – Capture or select the photo or video you want to share. You can also customize it with filters, stickers, or text if desired.
Step 4 – Before posting, tap on the “Close Friends” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Your story will now be visible only to the members of your “Close Friends list.

If you want to add or remove people from your close friends list then follow the steps below. However, Instagram does not notify users if you add or remove them from your close friends list.
Step 1 – Go to your profile page on Instagram.
Step 2 – Tap on the menu icon (three lines) at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3 – Select the “Close Friends” option from the menu.
Step 4 – Choose the users you want to remove from your close friends’ list. Now Tap on “Done” to save the changes.
